Agree, summer is not May or September. "Fly" is synonymous with the word "warmth", not "invigorates". And that is why the month of July = the most holiday season for the eastern visa-free country.
Below you will find an educational program on vacation in Turkey in 2021 at the height of the influx of tourists:
- what the weather can throw out
- where better to go in July on your vacation
- and what to do with the child?
Beach holidays in Turkey - weather in July
Turkey at the beginning of July is familiar to Russians not only by the jumping prices, but also by the similarly reactive level of the mercury column. During the day, the air temperature crosses the mark of + 30 ° С and then gradually approaches the heavily tolerated + 40 ° С. However, there are places in Turkey where it is warm, not hellishly hot - about this two paragraphs below.
Advice: to avoid sunstroke and other delights of the midday sun, arrange a siesta for an hour or two. And wear a panama hat. The weather in Turkey in July is lightly (poorly said) gas chamber!
Temperature of water and air in Turkey
So, outside + 28 ° С ... + 35 ° С, and the sea in the middle of summer feels like a hot bath (+ 24 ° С ... + 28 ° С), and swimming in it is a delight. The water in the beach shower is colder! But degrees differ depending on the coast / resorts.
Where is the warmer sea in July? Taking note of the thermometer readings and reviews of tourists, the water temperature in Turkey in July can be distinguished as follows:
- a la fresh milk: Mediterranean Sea (Alania, Antalya, Kemer) - around + 28 ° С. Isn't it a vacation in Egypt?
- comfortable: not to cook in the Aegean (Marmaris, Kusadasi, Bodrum) and Mramorny (Bursa) - about + 25 ° С
- for the hardened: the north and the Black Sea from + 23 ° С (Sinop, Trabzon) - a region for samotour
And clearly - where in Turkey in July the sea is warmer:
Resort | water t, ° С | |
at the beginning of July | at the end of July | |
Alanya | +27.7 | +29.5 |
Side | +27.8 | +29.5 |
Belek | +27.8 | +29.5 |
Kemer | +27.4 | +29.2 |
Bodrum | +24.5 | +25.2 |

How much is Turkey worth in July?
✓ In 2021, prices for Turkey in July for all inclusive start at 45,000 rubles for two for 7 nights. Cheap? In fact, yes, if you look at the cost of tours to other sea countries.
✓ To a 5-star hotel - from 58,000 rubles.
✓ Three of us with a child in a good hotel and for all - from 75,000 rubles for 7 days.
Turkey with a departure on July 1-4 will cost more, because in theory, this is the period when the holidays start. From July 14-15, price tags are also growing: the season is getting hotter. And finally: sometimes vouchers for 10 days are slightly more expensive than for 7 - so we advise you to check.

Where is the best place to relax in Turkey in July? Resort selection
Solving the dilemma "which resort to choose in Turkey?" depends on the criteria put forward. If we take into account the arrangement of beaches, sea and entertainment, then:
1️⃣ Side - these are good hotels (functionally and in service) and sandy beaches. So, the beaches of the villages of Colakli, Evrenseki are solid sand and a gentle entrance to the sea (plus for the little ones). The village of Sorgun was cordoned off by coniferous forests, palms and fruits (everywhere).
Nightlife, however, is concentrated in Kumkoy: only a deaf person will not hear the echoes of discos until the morning.
Do you prefer a cultural holiday in the form of walking along the promenade and getting to know the history? Write down the ingredients: hotels in the old part of the resort (Side Center). You can aim at villas or large hotel complexes, but nobody canceled the peak prices.
2️⃣ Belek - these are resort villages on the sandy coast, diluted with small pebbles. There are more hotels here with gigantic territories and impeccable service. The picture is spoiled only by the muddy sea at times.
But the resort is teeming with excursions: towards Antalya (Kurshunlu waterfall, the ruins of the cities of Perge and Aspendos) and towards Side (the fortress city on the Seleukia hill, Green Canyon). There is nothing to see in Belek itself, but everyone comes here to have fun in the "legendary" amusement park The Land of Legends.
3️⃣ People rarely go to Bodrum, the "sugar" city of white two-three-storey buildings, to lie in the sun (narrow beach). This location beckons Europeans with a wider wallet and surfers.
So, if you strive to rest among the first category or belong to the second, and are thinking of where to relax in Turkey in July in a big way, you are here.
Oh yes, the water / climate on the Aegean coast is cooler, so for bearable weather - here too.
4️⃣ All resorts are good, but you need to see the mountains from the hotel window, and the sea is nowhere clearer? Welcome to Turkish health resort. Kemer is a few villages, each greener than the other.
There are many options for excursions: a one-day tour to Istanbul ($ 250) or a trip to Pamukkale for $ 45, for extreme lovers - rafting, diving or hiking in the Goynuk canyon. There are also many standard entertainments, such as nightclubs and boat trips on yachts or pirate ships.
As for the coast, there is a rocky entrance to the sea - somewhere larger pebbles, somewhere smaller. But the water is blue and clean!
5️⃣ Fethiye is still the Mediterranean Sea, next to Kemer, but towards the Aegean resorts. The nature is even juicier here, and the sea is bluer. There are fewer all-inclusive hotels in Fethiye, as the holiday concept is slightly different. This resort is loved by Europeans who get up with birds, have breakfast, take a ski pole in their hand - and go, climb mountains and eco-trails and soar over the sea on a paraglider!
6️⃣ But to the question, where is the best place to rest, we will answer this way: Alanya... In short, everything is here:
- sandy beaches
- natural attractions: you can climb a mountain or descend into a cave
- historical locations: towers and fortresses
- budget hotels (there are even a couple of new ones)
Alanya is quite for the fans of the movement, but if you wish, you will also be able to “learn Zen” in silence. In the city there are walks along the streets: it is big and beautiful.
Good Hotels in Turkey - Top 8
The main feature of Turkish hotels is the almost widespread use of the all inclusive and ultra all inclusive systems. This is a nice trump card, especially for families with children, they have enough fuss even without organizational moments.
Note: Al is when the tour price includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks and local alcoholic drinks during the day. UAl - the same thing, but around the clock. On ultra, 0.0 liras per check is supposed to be paid for imported drinks (read: free).
- 5 * Aydinbey's Queen Palace & Spa (Belek) - the youngest of all hotels in the rating, opened in 2019. Over the past season, I managed to earn most of the positive reviews: close to the airport and next to The Land of Legends park (and no excursions are needed, just go and buy tickets at the ticket office), the food is excellent, the hotel beach is sandy with a gradual entry into the water. Among the disadvantages: the beach is delivered by transfer (5 minutes drive), the hotel does not have a territory to walk.
Tour for 7 nights: from 95,000 rubles for two - 5 * Adora Resort (Belek) - a proven option for many years. The first line, wide beach, food is not abundant except for seafood. The hotel is loved by tourists with children, here the animation for the whole day is very exciting. The advantages also include the updated fitness room, the friendliness of the staff. And the downside is bad wi-fi.
Tour for 7 nights: from 100,000 rubles for two - 4 * Side Aquamarin Resort & Spa (Side, Evrenseki village) is a decent hotel for your money. Tourists celebrate the active entertainment, the good and varied buffet and the friendly staff. The location is favorable: literally across the road is a huge shopping center, grocery, souvenir, cafe-restaurants. The hotel is compact, not an "anthill", the rooms are small. True, it is not close to the beach - but the bus carries it. Although you can walk and walk.
Tour for 7 nights: from 75,000 rubles for two - 5 * Side Prenses Resort Hotel & Spa (Side Center) - a high-rise hotel, there is almost no territory, 3 minutes walk to the sea.But it is located in the central part of Side, and this is a plus: along the beaches there is a long promenade, along which it is pleasant to walk in the evening or at dawn; and in 10-20 minutes you can walk to historical sights.
Tour for 7 nights: from 100,000 rubles for two - 5 * Michell Hotel (Alanya) - hotel for ages 16+. That is, without children, only adults and adolescents. The beach is sandy and pebbly, but somewhere there are large stones, it is better to grab corals. The buffet receives no complaints, everyone is happy. As well as the spa - it is for an additional fee, but the prices are reasonable. The animation is standard, the nightclub will not replace in the evenings. The infrastructure around is more or less: there is a grocery and a cafe.
Tour for 7 nights: from 85,000 rubles for two - 5 * Acanthus & Cennet Barut Collection (Side Center) - a cool premium hotel, suitable for a couple, but not with children. Follow the link - our reviews and photos.
Tour for 7 nights: from 200,000 rubles for two - 3 * Orient Suite (Alanya) - it is difficult to find a Turkish "three-ruble note" with a good rating. This is one of the few. Yes, the hotel is without animation, the staff does not speak Russian, it takes 15 minutes to walk to the sea, but the standards of service are respected, the staff are friendly, the cleaning is thorough. Food like 3 stars, nothing out of the ordinary. In a word, for such a price - a godsend. Moreover, in the city of Alanya itself, there is no need to spend money on travel by bus (usually Alanya hotels are located in villages).
Tour for 7 nights: from 50,000 rubles for two - 5 * Sherwood Exclusive Kemer (Kemer, Goynuk village) is the same hotel where the landscapes are hilly, and the territory is large and green, and the food is excellent, and the alcohol is imported undiluted, and the animation does not let you get bored, and the service is well-trained, and the beach, despite the pebbled surface, pleasant. Plus, your own water park! The price for all this, of course, is appropriate.
Tour for 7 nights: from 140,000 rubles for two - 4 * Pine House (Kemer, Camyuva village) - reliable 4 stars. For a relaxing holiday, without round-the-clock entertainment for children. The beach is pebbly, there is a lot of food, but no frills. The alcohol included in all is good. The staff speaks Russian.
Tour for 7 nights: from 75,000 rubles for two
But new hotels open every year in Turkey - the demand is growing. We have a separate article where we talk about this in more detail and keep a list of "new products".
Entertainment in Turkey - what to do?
Are you not a fan of lounging on a sunbed? It's a pity, in July the weather and the sea promise a beautiful tan (if without excitement) ... Ok. For 2021, Turkey has come up with options for more active recreation:
- Excursions - in the heat of the heat, we buy! Inexpensive. We take either on the spot from our guide, or on the street. Here are the prices for the most popular ones:
- The Land of Legends amusement park - $ 45-50 per person
- Sightseeing trip to Alanya or Antalya - $ 30-35
- Pamukkale - $ 45-50
- Rafting - $ 20-25
- Green Canyon boat trip - $ 30-35 - There are many diving offers - we recommend taking a closer look at Antalya, Bodrum and Fethiye. And also ... trout fishing is developed here! The men are delighted.
- Some resorts are a mecca of paragliding. For example, the village of Oludeniz in Fethiye. Extremists are always welcome here.
- Hamam - well, a vacation in Turkey cannot go without a Turkish bath. Onsite deals start at $ 15 per person. At hotels, it is usually more expensive.
In general, there is where to roam. In a special article, we calculate how much money is needed for everything about everything.
Holidays in Turkey with children in July - where is better?
Let's be honest with you. July on Turkish beaches with children ... is possible at the very beginning of the month (or better - in June) or later, but with respite. You won't be able to lie on the seashore under the scorching heat day and night. And the pebbles with sand are heated like a frying pan on the stove. However, the Turks took care of children's entertainment in the heat.
So where to go with your child?
If the priority is beach vacation, which implies a clean sandy shore and a gentle entry into the water, choose Side or Belek... Bonus: close transfer from the airport.
Climate in Alanya boasts low air humidity, assorted beaches and the warmest sea (everything for children). The dignity of the resort is a huge water park - Water Planet Alanya. But not without a fly in the ointment: to saw and cut to the Antalya air harbor (135 km!).
Kemer prepared for travelers and their parents a lot of shade from pine bushes and a little action:
- dinosaur park in the village of Goynuk, known as the abode of ancient life-size lizards
- a trip by cable car "to the sky" to Mount Takhtali. Just do not forget about warm clothes, the height, after all.
In the second half and at the end of July for families with children in Turkey, we advise you to wave to the Aegean Sea to Bodrum or Kusadasi (bakes wrong). Cool down will help the Cactus water park (free for children under 7) and the museum of underwater archeology for little pirates.
But if the eastern country is already bypassed and a little fed up, you can look for alternatives and compare, for example, which is better - Tunisia or Turkey? The latter is somewhat reminiscent of the Crimea with cypresses plus palm trees.
Pros and cons of vacation in Turkey in July - tourist reviews
Cleopatra Beach in Alanya is one of the most beautiful in the region
Pros:
+ classic relaxation without worries. The main thing is to choose the right hotel, and leave the headache to be treated by the tour operator (how to get to the airport, to the beach, where to eat)
+ in July prices for tours to Turkey are an order of magnitude lower than for other summer destinations
+ since you have already paid for the ticket, you can not take money with you at all. Joke. What about souvenirs? 😉
+ guaranteed warm sea
Minuses:
- rest in Turkey in July, first of all, will be remembered by the steam room and a couple of burns (if it is really careless)
- queues in restaurants, the struggle for sunbeds - the season is in full swing
- the quality of food in economy hotels may not meet expectations
